Coolangatta is located at the southern end of the Gold Coast on the border between Queensland and New South Wales.

Coolangatta boasts some of the region's most beautiful beaches and best surfing. Port Danger and Kirra Point are popular among the more experienced surfers.

The rugged headland of Point Danger gives way to delightful Rainbow Bay where gentle surf offers a safe haven to small children. Further north is the tree lined Greenmount headland, the perfect vantage point to watch the sun rise over crystal waters. Rainbow Bay and Greenmount Beach offer gentler breaks better for beginner surfers.

There are several alfresco bistros and cafes close to the beach and on the second Sunday of the month, market stalls are set up along the beachfront where you can browse through local handicrafts.
